Training and Capacity Building

The main objectives state

- to assist in increasing the modelling capability of the MRCS, CNMC and the line agencies and to help create a sustainable modelling group

- to ensure that the modelling framework allows its future use for predicting impacts of proposed actions on aquatic ecosystem, water uses and socio-economic functions

Training and capacity building proceeds as a horizontal task throughout the project duration, as on-the-job training in WUP-FIN office, in workshops and in connection field data collection and laboratory work. There are presently eight on-the-job trainees from the MRCS Modelling Team, CNMC and the Cambodian line agencies working within the WUP-FIN Project on modelling, GIS, data processing and analysis as well as on socio-economic functions/fisheries and agriculture.
